Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said the government remains open to dialogue but warned that political rigidity could block progress.
Speaking in the Senate, Sanaullah said politicians had agreed on the Charter of Democracy, but accused a rival political leader of rejecting compromise and maintaining a confrontational stance for years. “If someone is unwilling to listen and insists on rigid positions, what can be done?” he asked.
Commenting on former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s health, Sanaullah said doctors were included at the request of Khan’s team and had conducted medical examinations, adding that treatment was found to be appropriate. He said no additional demands were accepted by the Supreme Court and urged against politicizing the issue.
Sanaullah said the coalition government had repeatedly sought dialogue and remains ready to engage opposition parties for the country’s stability. He urged political rivals to participate in parliament, join committees, and strengthen democratic processes.
“Democracy moves forward through dialogue, not deadlock,” he said, adding that legal relief in cases should be sought through courts.
