Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has declared that Tehran is prepared for negotiations but will not abandon its right to peaceful nuclear energy, amid rising regional tensions and renewed scrutiny of Iran’s nuclear program.
In an interview with Indian media, Araghchi said Iran would not be forced into submission through threats or military pressure. “If the objective is to intimidate Iran into surrendering, that will never happen,” he said, reiterating that Tehran remains open to dialogue and diplomacy.
Referring to past hostilities with Israel, the foreign minister stated that Iran did not capitulate during previous attacks and would not do so now. “If they seek to repeat a failed experiment, the outcome will not be different,” he added.
Araghchi warned that any full-scale conflict would be devastating and extend beyond bilateral confrontation. He noted that U.S. military bases are present across the Middle East, cautioning that a broader war would engulf the region and create a highly dangerous situation.
“There will be no real victor in such a war,” he said. “If conflict erupts, it will be destructive.”
Tehran has consistently maintained that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, including energy production and medical research, and insists that it is entitled to pursue civilian nuclear activities under international law.
Araghchi emphasized that diplomacy remains the only viable path forward. “The solution lies in dialogue and diplomacy. We are ready for talks, but we will not give up our right to peaceful nuclear use,” he said.
The remarks come at a time of heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, with ongoing debate over nuclear non-proliferation, regional security, and the role of global powers in the Iran-Israel standoff.
