Washington, United States – Web Desk: US President Donald Trump has said that Iran’s missile capability is significantly reduced, claiming the country is left with only 21–22% of its stockpile and will ultimately have no option but to reach a deal.
In an interview with NBC News, Trump said diplomatic and military developments take time and are not immediate processes. He insisted that Iran would eventually be forced into an agreement and may take steps it has never considered before.
Trump added that Iran has so far not agreed to a ceasefire or broader deal, saying this was due to Tehran’s “strength and pride.” He also argued that his administration is making strong progress on the Iran issue.
Reiterating his stance, the US president said Iran will not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons and is not in a position to develop them.
Commenting on maritime tensions, Trump referred to activity in the Strait of Hormuz, saying many oil tankers have passed through the waterway and that stability in the region could help reduce global oil prices.
He further suggested that oil prices could fall even lower once regional tensions ease.
