Iran FM Claims He Survived Strike on Khamenei’s Office

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said he was inside the office of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei when it came under attack, claiming he later emerged from the rubble of the building.

Speaking in an interview, Araghchi alleged that he was present at the location during the strike and survived the incident. He also dismissed the possibility of a meeting between Ayatollah Khamenei and U.S. President Donald Trump, describing such a scenario as unrealistic.

Commenting on regional diplomacy, Araghchi said Saudi Arabia is a major country and an important player in the Middle East. He added that Iran and Saudi Arabia could work together to promote peace, stability, and economic development across the region.

The Iranian foreign minister said Tehran has consistently attached importance to its relationship with Riyadh and remains committed to strengthening bilateral ties.

According to Russian media reports cited by Araghchi, approximately 50 Israeli fighter jets were allegedly involved in the attack on the office of Iran’s supreme leader. The claims have not been independently verified.
