T20 World Cup: Captain Salman Ali Agha defends Babar’s inclusion, cites travel advantages

Karachi, Pakistan, Web Desk: Pakistan T20 World Cup captain Salman Ali Agha has explained the decision to include Babar Azam in the squad for the upcoming tournament in Sri Lanka. Despite a modest Big Bash performance recently, Babar has consistently delivered for the national team.

Salman highlighted that playing matches in Sri Lanka benefits the team by avoiding travel fatigue, giving Pakistan an edge over other teams. He admitted past tournaments’ performances have been underwhelming, stressing that the World Cup will be a challenging test.

“With high-scoring matches unlikely in Sri Lanka, every game will demand Pakistan’s best performance,” he added.
