Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The United States, Iran and Pakistan have confirmed progress in talks aimed at ending the ongoing conflict, according to a news agency report citing diplomatic mediators.
Sources involved in the negotiations said work is underway to finalize the framework of a memorandum of understanding designed to reduce regional tensions and pave the way for broader diplomatic engagement.
According to mediators, Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir played a key role in facilitating communication between the parties. The proposed roadmap reportedly consists of three phases, including an immediate end to hostilities, resolution of the Strait of Hormuz crisis, and a 30-day follow-up negotiation process.
The report added that several major issues remain unresolved, including Iran’s nuclear program, the lifting of economic sanctions, and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Regional and international stakeholders continue to push for a diplomatic solution amid growing concerns over Middle East stability, global oil supplies, and maritime security.
