Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Iran’s ambassador has praised the mediation efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in facilitating diplomatic progress related to ongoing regional tensions and negotiations.
According to the envoy, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated Iranian officials on the reported progress in talks following his return from Tehran. The ambassador said positive developments remain possible if all parties demonstrate seriousness in the negotiation process.
The Iranian diplomat stated that the recent progress was the result of Iran’s “dignified stance” and credited the resilience of Iran’s armed forces and the determination of the Iranian people for strengthening the negotiating position.
He further said Pakistan’s mediation initiative and sincere diplomatic efforts played an important role in advancing discussions aimed at reducing tensions in the region. The envoy added that the Pakistani government and military leadership could help pave the way for lasting regional peace through constructive engagement.
The ambassador specifically appreciated the mediation efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, while also acknowledging the diplomatic role played by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
