Trump says Israel, Iran both want immediate ceasefire

Date:

United States – Web Desk: US President Donald Trump has said that both Israel and Iran want an immediate ceasefire, as diplomatic efforts continue amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated that both sides are seeking an urgent halt to hostilities and that final negotiations on a “peace” arrangement are ongoing. He warned that “foolishness or misunderstanding” could hinder progress.

He added that a temporary pause in hostilities would remain in place until a final agreement is reached and should be enforced with full strength, urging swift progress in talks.

Earlier, Trump had called on both Iran and Israel to immediately stop exchanging attacks, as regional tensions escalated following continued military strikes.

China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson also expressed deep concern over the situation, saying renewed hostilities are not in the interest of any party and urging both sides to maintain a ceasefire.

The developments come after days of intensified strikes between Iran and Israel, raising fears of a wider regional conflict.
