Trump Says China Agrees Not to Sell Weapons to Iran

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that China has agreed not to supply weapons to Iran, signaling a potential shift in regional dynamics amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.

In a post shared on Truth Social, Trump said that Beijing had committed to halting arms sales to Tehran. He also indicated that he is expected to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in the coming weeks, expressing optimism about bilateral cooperation.

“We are working together wisely and very well,” Trump said, adding that diplomatic engagement is preferable to conflict, although he stressed that the United States remains prepared for confrontation if necessary.

Trump further stated that efforts to keep the Strait of Hormuz open are aimed at ensuring global trade stability, benefiting not only the United States but also China and the wider international community.

The remarks come at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East, particularly concerning Iran’s nuclear program and maritime security in key shipping routes.

There has been no immediate official confirmation from Chinese or Iranian authorities regarding Trump’s claim.
