Doha, Qatar – Web Desk: Global pop icon Shakira has postponed her upcoming concerts in the Middle East as geopolitical tensions escalate across the region.
According to international media reports, the singer’s highly anticipated April 1 performance at Stadium 974 in Doha has been postponed indefinitely due to the deteriorating security situation. The concert details have also been removed from official platforms, despite tickets being sold out.
Organisers have yet to announce a new date, while ticketing pages are currently showing errors, indicating operational disruptions.
Earlier, Shakira had also postponed her concert in India under her ongoing world tour, citing similar concerns linked to regional instability.
In an official statement shared on social media, organisers confirmed that the decision was made in light of the evolving geopolitical situation and ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
Reports suggest that technical disruptions, possibly linked to increased drone activity in the Bahrain region affecting cloud services, may have also contributed to the postponement.
Additionally, the singer’s scheduled April 4 concert in the United Arab Emirates has also been postponed, although no formal reason has been provided by ticketing platforms.
The postponements come as tensions in the Middle East continue to intensify following recent military escalations involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, raising security concerns across several Gulf countries.
