Islamabad, Pakistan / Ankara, Turkey – Web Desk: Amid rising tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Saudi Arabia and Turkey have taken active diplomatic steps to de-escalate the situation. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan engaged in separate phone calls on Friday with the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, discussing measures to stabilize the region.
According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with Minister Fidan regarding recent developments and regional security concerns, including border clashes between Pakistani and Afghan forces. Additionally, Dar held talks with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, focusing on the Pak-Afghan border situation and other regional issues.
Diplomatic sources indicate that multiple countries are seeking to contain the escalating tensions through ongoing consultations and to explore potential diplomatic solutions to prevent further conflict in the region.
