Doha, Qatar – Web Desk: Qatar has strongly rejected reports claiming that it made financial payments to Iran in exchange for any political or diplomatic agreement.
In an official statement, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the circulating claims regarding financial transactions with Iran are baseless and intended to undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts in the region.
The ministry emphasized that certain parties are attempting to damage efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions and promoting peace through the spread of misinformation and false reports.
Qatari authorities reiterated that the country’s diplomatic role in supporting dialogue, stability, and peace in the region has always been transparent and consistent.
The statement further added that Qatar’s engagement with regional partners is fully documented and aligned with international diplomatic norms, stressing that attempts to distort facts through misinformation will not succeed.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to continuing its efforts to de-escalate tensions and support diplomatic solutions to regional conflicts.
