Karachi: Efforts to ease growing political tensions between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have gained momentum through renewed backdoor communications between senior leaders of both parties.
According to sources, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met President Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House in Karachi to discuss the country’s overall political climate, with a particular focus on the strained relations between the Sindh and Punjab governments.
During the meeting, President Zardari urged Minister Naqvi to take an active role in promoting political stability and facilitating dialogue between the allied parties. Both leaders agreed on the need to enhance coordination and cooperation to prevent further escalation.
Sources revealed that a favorable environment is being cultivated to end the ongoing “dialogue war” between PPP and PML-N. A high-level meeting between PPP’s top leadership and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also expected later this week, signaling a potential breakthrough in resolving inter-party differences
