Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s police chief Ahmad Reza Radan said more than 6,500 suspected spies and collaborators have been arrested since the start of the conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
According to Iranian media reports, Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan said security forces had detained a large number of individuals accused of working for hostile foreign entities since the outbreak of the war.
Speaking in an interview, the police chief claimed the arrests were part of ongoing nationwide security operations aimed at countering espionage, sabotage activities, and internal threats during a period of heightened regional tensions.
Iranian authorities have intensified security measures in recent months amid escalating geopolitical conflict in the Middle East and growing concerns over intelligence operations targeting the country’s military and strategic infrastructure.
Officials in Tehran have repeatedly accused foreign intelligence agencies of attempting to destabilize the country through covert networks and cyber operations. However, independent verification of the reported arrests has not been immediately available.
The latest remarks come as tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States continue to dominate regional security discussions and international diplomacy efforts.
