Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Reza Amiri Moghadam, Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, said Tehran remains open to negotiations but stressed that any diplomatic process must safeguard Iran’s national interests.
Speaking on regional developments, the envoy said Iran would not bow to pressure from the United States or Western powers. He argued that attempts to influence Tehran through political and military pressure would not alter the country’s position.
The ambassador also addressed the ongoing debate surrounding Iran’s nuclear programme, saying there is a distinction between uranium enrichment for peaceful purposes and the development of nuclear weapons. He criticized calls for a complete halt to enrichment activities, emphasizing Iran’s right to pursue peaceful nuclear technology.
Commenting on recent diplomatic efforts, Reza Amiri Moghadam praised Syed Asim Munir for his role in facilitating dialogue and thanked the people of Pakistan for their support during recent regional tensions.
His remarks come as discussions over Iran-US relations, regional security, and nuclear negotiations continue to attract international attention.
