India’s ABP News reportedly hacked, pro-Pakistan slogans and military speech excerpts aired briefly

Date:

(Web Desk) – A reported cyber breach briefly disrupted programming on Indian television channel ABP News, during which pro-Pakistan slogans were aired, according to security sources.

Sources claimed that a group described as a “Pakistani cyber force” targeted the broadcaster, resulting in unauthorised content being displayed. During the disruption, slogans in support of Pakistan were broadcast, along with excerpts from a speech attributed to Pakistan’s army chief, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

There was no immediate confirmation from ABP News regarding the nature or cause of the incident. Indian authorities have not publicly commented on the reported breach at the time of publication.

Cybersecurity analysts note that media organisations are increasingly vulnerable to digital attacks amid heightened regional tensions between nuclear-armed neighbours Pakistan and India. Such incidents can escalate information warfare and fuel political friction.

The reported hacking underscores growing concerns about cyber operations targeting critical media infrastructure in South Asia. Further details are expected as investigations proceed.
