Pentagon Admits No Intel on Iran Pre-Emptive Strike

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: The United States Department of Defense has acknowledged that it had no intelligence indicating an imminent pre-emptive attack by Iran on American forces, according to officials familiar with a congressional briefing.

In a statement released by the White House, senior officials from the Pentagon briefed relevant committees of the U.S. Senate and the United States House of Representatives for more than 90 minutes. The session focused on recent U.S. military strikes inside Iran and broader regional security concerns.

According to two individuals familiar with the closed-door discussions, who spoke on condition of anonymity, no classified intelligence reports suggested that Tehran was preparing a pre-emptive strike against U.S. forces.

During the briefing, U.S. defense officials described Iran’s ballistic missile program and its support for allied armed groups across the Middle East as ongoing threats to American interests and regional stability.

U.S. authorities said they are closely monitoring developments in the region and have strengthened security measures to safeguard American personnel and assets.

The disclosure comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with global markets and regional allies watching closely for further escalation in the Middle East.
