Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was transferred to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a follow-up eye treatment procedure.
According to the Executive Director of PIMS, Khan was brought from Adiala Jail on February 24 and received his second dose of anti-VEGF intravitreal injection under the supervision of consultant ophthalmologists and vitreoretinal surgeons from PIMS and Shifa International Hospital.
Prior to the procedure, a cardiologist performed echocardiography and ECG, with normal results. During and after the procedure, Khan’s vital signs remained stable, and a consultant physician confirmed his medical stability.
The injection was conducted as a daycare surgery, with a specialist board review before the procedure. After the follow-up, Khan was discharged with instructions, prescriptions, and relevant medical documents.
