Ranchi, India – Web Desk: An air ambulance traveling from Ranchi to New Delhi crashed in Jharkhand’s Chatra district on Monday night, leaving all seven people on board feared dead.
According to local authorities, the aircraft went down near Simaria, deep in forested terrain, while transporting a patient for urgent medical care. The Deputy Commissioner of Chatra confirmed that due to the dense forest, it is difficult to immediately confirm casualties, but survival chances are minimal.
The plane last contacted Kolkata Air Traffic Control at 7:34 PM, before losing communication shortly afterward. Rescue teams have reached the site, and search and recovery operations are ongoing, while authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
