Web Desk: Islamabad, Pakistan – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has decided to hear the appeals of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the 190 million pounds case, fixing May 7 as the date for proceedings.
According to the court’s written order, once the main appeals are scheduled, the applications seeking suspension of sentences become ineffective.
The court also issued directions regarding a separate petition related to Bushra Bibi, instructing the Superintendent of Adiala Jail to decide within two days on an application filed by her daughter seeking medical access and family visitation.
The IHC further ordered the jail superintendent to issue a reasoned decision and summoned him in person on May 6.
During the hearing, Bushra Bibi’s lawyer, Salman Akram Raja, informed the court that applications had already been submitted both through courier and in person at the jail.
In response, the court directed the state counsel to ensure that the jail authorities decide the matter before the next hearing.
The lawyer also informed the court about Bushra Bibi’s recent medical procedure, which prompted the bench to note that the matter was already in public discussion. The court subsequently adjourned the hearing until May 6.
The case is part of ongoing legal proceedings involving allegations linked to financial transactions and remains under close judicial review.
