Web Desk: Karachi, Pakistan – The Commissioner of Karachi has granted permission to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to establish five cattle markets across the city ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha season.
According to an official notification issued by the Commissioner’s Office, the approved locations include Sunday Bazaar North Karachi, a designated KMC ground, Safari Park area, and Gulistan-e-Johar Blocks 5 and 6.
In addition, cattle markets will also be set up in Lyari’s Bakra Piri area and on vacant land in Korangi.
Earlier, the KMC had requested approval to establish livestock markets at 11 different locations across Karachi to manage the expected surge in cattle trade during the festive period.
Authorities say the decision aims to regulate livestock trading, ensure public convenience, and manage traffic flow in the city during the Eid season.
