Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori said a public debate on Karachi’s future has begun, describing it as his primary objective to spark serious discussions on the city’s direction and development.
Speaking to the media in Karachi, Tessori said the government is moving on the right track despite attempts by some quarters to derail progress. He reiterated his commitment to providing free IT education, distributing laptops and motorcycles, and expanding training initiatives across Sindh.
The governor said students from diverse ethnic backgrounds, including Sindhi and Pashtun communities, are receiving IT training at the Governor House, rejecting claims that his initiatives are causing divisions among the public. He said such allegations are false and added that people across the province have started taking his work seriously.
Tessori described himself as a “people’s governor” and dismissed political criticism as conspiracies that would not stop public service initiatives. He said IT training programmes would be extended to cities such as Larkana, Nawabshah and Sanghar.
He also criticised unfulfilled promises by previous administrations, saying some leaders had pledged to establish a university at the Governor House or demolish its walls, but failed to deliver. “There is no need to break walls; we have opened the doors,” he said, emphasising openness and public access.
