Beijing, China – Web Desk: Chinese President Xi Jinping held a high-level meeting in Beijing with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as both sides pledged to strengthen bilateral cooperation amid rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
According to media reports, the UAE Crown Prince arrived in China earlier this week on a three-day official visit focused on expanding economic, trade, and strategic ties between the two countries.
The visit comes at a time of heightened instability in the region, following reported strikes on Iran by the United States and Israel, which have further escalated tensions across the Middle East.
Despite the regional uncertainty, both leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining strong economic engagement and deepening strategic cooperation between China and the United Arab Emirates.
Officials noted that trade between China and the UAE reached approximately $76.9 billion during the first nine months of 2025, reflecting robust ties in energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors.
Analysts say the meeting underscores Beijing’s growing diplomatic and economic footprint in the Gulf region, particularly as Middle Eastern alliances continue to shift amid global geopolitical uncertainty.
