Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, said that Imran Khan would be taken directly to Al-Shifa Eye Hospital for treatment once bail is granted in his cases.
Speaking to reporters after a hearing at an anti-terrorism court, Aleema Khan called for Imran Khan’s medical treatment to be conducted under the supervision of his personal physician at Al-Shifa Hospital, while also expressing concerns about her own possible arrest.
She said Imran Khan’s release would only be possible once Justice Sarfraz Dogar hears the pending cases, adding that delays in judicial proceedings were unjust. Aleema Khan said Imran Khan’s eye condition would be treated immediately upon his release.
She alleged that former Adiala Jail Superintendent Ghafour Anjum was responsible for medical negligence and said legal action would be pursued under criminal negligence laws.
Aleema Khan criticised the government for conducting medical examinations without the presence of family members or personal doctors and quoted Imran Khan as saying during their last meeting that “they will finish me.”
She said multiple cases against Imran Khan and PTI leaders were politically motivated and expressed confidence they would collapse in court. She also questioned why Imran Khan was not being transferred to a hospital, citing concerns about transparency in medical testing.
Aleema Khan further alleged political retaliation and said attempts to silence her would not succeed, adding that she believed the country would ultimately be governed by the people.
