The Iranian government confirmed in a post on X that the negotiating team, led by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, had concluded its discussions and departed after 18 hours of high-level consultations . The US delegation was led by Vice President JD Vance .
Key Outcomes
The two sides held “positive and constructive” talks at the Lake Lucerne summit in Switzerland, where they agreed on a 60-day roadmap toward a final peace agreement . They also established a High-Level Committee to provide political oversight of the mediation process and agreed to reactivate a de-confliction mechanism in Lebanon .
Technical-level negotiations will continue at the Bürgenstock resort for the remainder of the week, with Pakistan and Qatar continuing their mediation roles to keep the talks moving in a “positive and productive direction” .
