PTI’s Latif Khosa Warns Khawaja Asif May Be “Fired” Over “Vigo Daala” Remarks

Date:

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sardar Latif Khosa has warned that Defence Minister Khawaja Asif may face dismissal over his controversial remarks regarding “Vigo Daala” , drawing a parallel with the removal of former National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq .

Speaking in the National Assembly, Khosa commented on Khawaja Asif’s earlier statement suggesting that police officers carry “Vigo Daala” while on duty . “Khawaja Asif said a very beautiful thing. If only they would take the daalas . . . police officers are already carrying their own daalas,” Khosa said, questioning why the government could not cut its own expenses and withdraw all privileges .

He referenced a previous incident: “When Joonijo [former Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq] made everyone stand on cars, he was removed from his position,” Khosa said, in an apparent warning to the Defence Minister .

Criticism of Government and Police

Khosa also questioned the current law and order situation, adding that PTI has many terrorism cases registered against its leaders but remains ready to make sacrifices for the public . He accused a woman named “Pinky” of supplying drugs in schools and colleges, claiming that “nothing will happen to her” .

National Assembly Proceedings

Earlier, Khawaja Asif had introduced a motion requiring all police officers above a certain rank to carry “Vigo Daala” and remain in their respective offices .

The National Assembly is currently considering over Rs12.42 billion in demands for grants for three ministries. The Interior Division alone presented four demands exceeding Rs349 billion, with the opposition submitting 123 cut motions against them .
