Pakistan Flights Cancelled as Middle East Tensions Hit Travel

Date:

Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Air travel from major Pakistani cities has been disrupted as passengers reduce travel plans amid rising tensions in the Middle East, leading to multiple flight cancellations across the country.

At Jinnah International Airport, at least 11 flights to destinations including Dubai, Jeddah, Bahrain, Sharjah, and Muscat were cancelled, reflecting a sharp decline in passenger demand and heightened security concerns.

Similar disruptions were reported at Allama Iqbal International Airport, where 10 flights to Kuwait, Bahrain, Dubai, Sharjah, Jeddah, and Abu Dhabi were cancelled due to reduced passenger turnout and precautionary measures.

In Peshawar, seven flights to Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, and Dubai were also cancelled, while Islamabad International Airport saw nine flight cancellations to destinations including Istanbul, Dammam, Sharjah, Najaf, and Bahrain. Additionally, two flights from Multan were suspended.

Airlines and aviation authorities have cited evolving regional security conditions and reduced passenger traffic as key reasons for the cancellations.

Industry experts say continued geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East could further impact travel demand, airline operations, and regional connectivity in the coming days.
