US Rescues Downed Pilot in Iran, Trump Confirms Operation

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: The United States has successfully rescued a second pilot from a downed aircraft in Iran, President Donald Trump confirmed, describing the mission as one of the most dangerous rescue operations in military history.

In a statement posted on social media, Trump said the pilot, identified as a senior officer, is now “safe and secure.” He revealed that dozens of heavily armed U.S. aircraft were deployed into Iranian airspace to carry out the high-risk extraction mission.

According to the U.S. president, both pilots from the downed aircraft have now been recovered, with the second rescue operation completed earlier. Trump emphasized that no American personnel were killed or injured during the mission, reaffirming Washington’s commitment to never leaving soldiers behind.

“This marks a rare instance in military history where two aviators were successfully rescued from hostile territory,” Trump said.

However, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that another U.S. aircraft involved in the rescue operation was shot down in Iran’s Isfahan province. U.S. officials have not confirmed this claim.

The development comes amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, with both sides exchanging claims over military engagements in the region.
