Fresh reports citing police sources say suspects in the October 18 shooting involving Tiger Shroff allegedly surveyed Aamir Khan’s residence before shifting their focus. Investigators are continuing to examine the alleged plot and its motive.
MUMBAI, INDIA — WEB DESK
New details have emerged in the investigation into the October 18 firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, with fresh media reports citing police sources alleging that suspects had also conducted surveillance near actor Aamir Khan’s residence.
Reports published on Monday, October 26, said the suspects allegedly visited the area around Khan’s home in Mumbai multiple times before the shooting involving Shroff. Investigators are examining whether the alleged surveillance formed part of a wider plan targeting prominent Bollywood figures.
The shooting took place in Mumbai’s Juhu area on October 18. Two men allegedly opened fire at Shroff’s car after he left a football ground. The actor escaped serious harm, while his driver and a bystander were reported injured.
The investigation has focused on alleged links between the suspects and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police sources cited in recent reports say the suspects considered several prominent actors and ultimately shifted their attention to Shroff, whose movements were reportedly easier to anticipate.
However, accounts of the alleged original target have varied. Earlier reports citing police sources identified Salman Khan as the initial target, while newer reports have highlighted surveillance near Aamir Khan’s residence. These claims have not established a definitive account of the alleged plan in a public judicial finding.
Investigators are also examining the motive behind the attack, the suspects’ alleged connections and whether the incident was intended to intimidate people in the film industry.
The case remains under investigation, and allegations about the intended target should be treated cautiously until confirmed by official findings or court proceedings.
The latest developments have renewed concerns about the safety of public figures and the use of surveillance before attacks. Authorities have not publicly established all details of the alleged conspiracy, and further findings are expected as the investigation continues.
