Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Tehran endured a night of intense airstrikes as US and Israeli forces targeted the Iranian capital, shaking the city with a series of heavy explosions. According to foreign media reports, this marked one of the most severe bombings Tehran has faced since the outbreak of the ongoing conflict.
Warplanes flying at low altitudes reportedly dropped dozens of heavy bombs across multiple neighborhoods, prompting widespread fear and forcing residents to seek shelter in bathrooms or secure parts of their homes. Witnesses in western Tehran described moments of near-constant aircraft activity over fifteen-minute intervals, followed by intermittent bombing.
Damage from the strikes reportedly affected residential areas, hospitals, schools, and historical landmarks. Tehran was not the only target; Iranian cities including Isfahan and Karaj also faced attacks.
US Defense Secretary Pat Hegsteth warned that Tuesday could witness the most severe strikes inside Iran to date. Power outages were temporarily reported in some districts, though officials restored electricity within hours.
Iranian authorities have also imposed strict internet restrictions nationwide, limiting public access to real-time information, citing security concerns. The government has called on the international community to hold responsible parties accountable for civilian damage caused during these strikes.
