US-Iran Conflict Sparks Energy Crisis as Crude Oil Surges to $87 a Barrel

Date:

Global energy markets came under renewed pressure on Tuesday as escalating military tensions between the United States and Iran raised concerns over potential disruptions to oil supplies from the Middle East.

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The latest escalation triggered sharp movements across global financial markets, with investors closely monitoring developments that could affect energy exports from the region.

Brent crude rose to around $87 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) climbed above $80 per barrel, reflecting growing fears of supply disruptions. Both benchmark crude prices recorded gains of approximately 3% to 4% during the latest trading session.

The rally pushed Brent crude to its highest level in nearly a month, highlighting the sensitivity of global oil markets to geopolitical tensions involving major energy-producing regions.

Analysts say continued uncertainty surrounding the conflict could keep oil prices volatile in the coming days, with investors watching for further military developments and their impact on global energy supplies.
