UAE Denies Releasing $10 Billion in Frozen Iranian Assets, Rejects Reuters Report

Date:

DUBAI – Web Desk: The United Arab Emirates has rejected claims that it has released frozen Iranian assets, stating that no funds have been released nor any financial transfers made, according to officials.

Authorities said reports circulating on social and international media are incorrect. Reuters had earlier claimed that the UAE had agreed to release approximately $10 billion for Iran, with over $3 billion already transferred. The report cited two regional sources and suggested the amount could reach up to $20 billion as part of a broader diplomatic understanding.

The UAE has clarified that all such claims are baseless, reiterating that no funds have been released from Iran’s frozen assets nor has any financial transfer taken place.
