Funeral of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei Postponed to July

TEHRAN – Web Desk: The funeral of Iran’s former Supreme Leader, the martyred Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been postponed until July, according to international media reports.

Tehran Mayor Alireza Zakani stated that the state funeral ceremony will be held in late June or early July. Following this decision, the burial is likely to take place during the second decade of Muharram, between June 26 and July 5. Earlier reports had suggested that Khamenei’s burial would take place at the beginning of Muharram.
