UAE Bans Open-Air Eid Prayers, Restricts to Mosques Only

Date:

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Web Desk: Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have announced that Eid al-Fitr prayers will be held exclusively inside mosques, with open-air congregations not permitted this year.

Officials said the decision was taken to ensure public safety and maintain order during the religious occasion. Worshippers have been advised to offer prayers only at designated mosques and comply with official guidelines.

Authorities added that all necessary arrangements have been completed across mosques in the UAE to accommodate Eid congregations safely.

Meanwhile, moon-sighting committees in the UAE and Saudi Arabia are scheduled to meet to determine the sighting of the Eid al-Fitr moon.

The announcement comes as part of precautionary measures ahead of one of the most significant Islamic festivals observed worldwide.
