Washington, United States – Web Desk:
US President Donald Trump is set to deliver his State of the Union address at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, with protests by Democrats expected during the speech, according to US media reports.
In remarks ahead of the address, Trump said it would be a lengthy speech, citing “a lot to say” at the start of his second presidential term.
US media outlets reported that the speech will cover Iran negotiations, including the possibility of conflict if talks fail. Trump is also expected to defend tariffs, highlight economic policies, discuss crime and illegal immigration, and outline legislative priorities.
The president is likely to claim credit for efforts to end global conflicts and push for key domestic legislation.
Recent surveys suggest Trump’s approval ratings are declining, and Republicans fear losing at least one chamber of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections.
