Trump Says US Wants Iranian Leader Who Avoids War

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: US President Donald Trump has said that the United States wants a leader in Iran who will not take the country toward war, as tensions in the Middle East continue to draw global attention.

Speaking to the media, Trump stated that the geopolitical map of Iran could look different after the ongoing conflict. He also said that Washington is not currently seeking a settlement or agreement with Iran.

The US president claimed that there is no evidence suggesting that Russia has provided assistance to Iran in the ongoing tensions.

Responding to a question about an attack on an elementary school in Iran, Trump alleged that the strike was carried out by Iran itself.

During the conversation, Trump also criticized United Kingdom leadership, saying that London is considering sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East but added that the United States no longer needs Britain’s involvement in the conflict. He remarked that Washington does not require partners who join only after a war has been won.

Meanwhile, the bodies of six US soldiers killed in a drone attack in Kuwait were transported to Delaware, where a ceremony was held to receive them. President Trump and the First Lady attended the event to pay their respects.
