Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Web Desk: For the first time, Saudi Arabia has issued a formal warning to Iran, signaling potential retaliatory action if attacks on its territory or energy infrastructure continue.
According to Reuters, Saudi officials stressed that the kingdom supports a diplomatic resolution between Tehran and Washington. However, Riyadh warned that ongoing assaults could compel it to respond, potentially allowing U.S. forces access to Saudi bases if necessary.
Sources indicate that Gulf countries have so far denied the U.S. use of regional airspace for operations against Iran. Iran, in turn, maintains that it is targeting American assets rather than Gulf nations and calls for the closure of U.S. military bases in the region.
Since the start of U.S. and Israeli operations against Iran on February 28, Saudi Arabia has kept continuous diplomatic contact with Tehran via its ambassador. Neither Saudi Arabia nor Iran has publicly commented on the latest Reuters report.
