Trump Says Omar, Tlaib Should Be Deported

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: US President Donald Trump has sparked controversy after saying that Muslim-American members of Congress Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib should be removed from the United States and sent back to what he described as their “home countries.”

In remarks that drew sharp criticism, Trump accused the two lawmakers of being “crazy” and “mentally ill,” escalating tensions following their criticism of his immigration policies during his address to Congress on Tuesday.

Omar and Tlaib, both elected representatives in the US House of Representatives, had publicly challenged the president’s stance on immigration and border enforcement during the congressional session.

The comments prompted a response from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which described the president’s remarks as biased and divisive. The organization said such language targeting elected officials undermines democratic values and fuels political polarization.

The exchange highlights deep political divisions in Washington over immigration reform, minority rights and freedom of political expression. The controversy has intensified debate across social media and political circles, with supporters and critics weighing in on the implications of the president’s remarks.
