Trump Considers Limited Military Strike on Iran

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: US President Donald Trump said he is considering a limited military strike against Iran, although he did not provide further details on the potential action.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said he was “thinking about it” when asked whether a limited attack on Iran was under consideration, according to international media reports.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that the US president was weighing targeted military strikes against Iranian military or government facilities. The report said the aim would be to pressure Tehran into accepting a nuclear agreement, with the possibility of broader military escalation if negotiations fail.

Trump has previously said he prefers diplomacy in dealing with Iran but warned that the United States could use military force if necessary. In a recent address to the Gaza Board of Peace, he again warned of “very serious consequences” if Iran does not agree to a deal.

The remarks come amid rising tensions over Iran’s nuclear program and ongoing international efforts to revive diplomatic negotiations.
