Trump Calls U.S. Navy ‘Pirates’ After Seizing Ships Leaving Iranian Ports

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump has likened the actions of the American Navy near Iranian ports to “piracy,” following reports of vessel seizures linked to Tehran.

According to media reports, the remarks came days after U.S. forces intercepted and seized a vessel believed to have departed from Iranian ports. Trump said the United States had taken control of the ship, its cargo, and oil, describing the operation as “very profitable.”

“We took the ship, we took the cargo, we took the oil. It’s a very profitable deal. We are like pirates. We are not playing games,” Trump said in his comments.

Reports indicate that several vessels linked to Iran, including container ships in Asian waters and Iranian oil tankers, have been seized by U.S. authorities after leaving Iranian ports. The developments come amid escalating tensions in the Middle East and growing scrutiny over maritime security and energy routes.

Analysts warn that such actions could further strain relations between Washington and Tehran, particularly at a time of heightened geopolitical uncertainty in the region.
