Tehran, Iran – Web Desk:
Authorities in Tehran have displayed images of schoolgirls martyred in a recent airstrike, in a symbolic tribute that has drawn widespread public attention and grief.
According to international media reports, photographs of the victims from a school in the Manab area were installed at Tajrish Square. The display was organized to express solidarity with the affected families and to honor those who lost their lives.
Large numbers of citizens gathered at the site, many visibly emotional as they viewed the images. The tribute follows a reported strike on February 28 that resulted in the deaths of more than 160 people, including children, sparking strong reactions both within Iran and internationally.
Separately, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also highlighted the tragedy during an official visit abroad, placing images of the victims and their school bags on his seat during a flight. In a statement shared on X, he referred to the children as “my companions,” underscoring his expression of solidarity.
The incident continues to fuel public emotion in Iran, with authorities raising the issue on international platforms.
