Bollywood legends return in courtroom drama exploring law, ethics & justice
Mumbai, India – Web Desk: Bollywood icons Sunny Deol and Akshay Kumar are set to reunite on screen nearly three decades after their memorable pairing in the 1997 war drama Border. The duo will now star in the highly anticipated courtroom drama Akka, produced as a Netflix Original.
The film’s story revolves around the delicate balance of law, ethics, and justice. Sunny Deol will play expert lawyer Sikandar Mehra, marking his return to a lawyer’s role after 33 years since his acclaimed performance in Damini (1993). Akshay Kumar will appear as the central antagonist facing a high-profile legal case.
Directed by Sidharth P. Malhotra, the film also stars Dia Mirza and Talatuma Shome in key roles. Netflix recently released the first teaser, showcasing a gripping courtroom scene, generating excitement among fans. The official release date is yet to be announced.
