Sindh Government Pledges Full Support to New Governor Nihal Hashmi

Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk : The Sindh government on Thursday welcomed Nihal Hashmi as the province’s newly-appointed governor and assured him of full cooperation.

Speaking to the media, Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said the provincial government looks forward to working with the new governor, emphasizing that he should perform his role in accordance with the Constitution.

Sharjeel Memon added that the provincial administration had cooperated fully with the previous governor and expects the same smooth working relationship with Governor Hashmi. He also noted that it is the Prime Minister’s prerogative to appoint anyone as governor and stressed that the Sindh government maintains no political disputes with any officeholder.

The minister highlighted ongoing efforts to restore Karachi’s status as the region’s economic hub and emphasized improvements in the transport sector. He also said that street crimes have declined significantly, noting that Sindh currently has no reported kidnapping victims, and bandits in the riverine (katcha) areas have either been neutralized or surrendered.
