Security Concerns: US Withdraws Non-Essential Staff From Pakistan

Date:

(Web Desk) – The United States has ordered the withdrawal of non-essential diplomatic personnel from Pakistan citing security concerns, according to an official statement from the U.S. Embassy.

The embassy directive also requires non-essential staff at consulates in Lahore and Karachi to depart the country. Officials clarified that the operational status of the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad remains unchanged.

The decision follows heightened regional tensions and concerns about potential drone and missile-related security risks linked to the ongoing standoff between the United States and Iran.

Authorities have not reported any direct threats within Pakistan, but the precautionary measure reflects broader security assessments in the region. Diplomatic operations in Islamabad will continue with essential personnel.
