Web Desk, Pakistan – Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has stressed the importance of collective batting responsibility ahead of the crucial Super Eight clash against England in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Speaking at a press conference, Farhan said it should not be the case that if the openers fail, the lower order also collapses. “Every batter must take responsibility. The top order needs to bat deep into the innings, and we are working on that,” he said.
Farhan added that Pakistan’s bowling unit has been performing well and expressed confidence in the team’s spin attack. He noted that scoring a century boosts a player’s confidence and emphasized the need for consistency in the batting lineup.
The right-hander also described Saim Ayub as an impact player, expressing hope that he would deliver a strong performance in the upcoming fixture.
Pakistan are set to face England in the Super Eight stage on Tuesday at 6:30pm Pakistan time, in what is expected to be a high-stakes encounter. The match could prove decisive in shaping the team’s path in the T20 World Cup.
