Security forces conducted intelligence-based operations across eight districts of Balochistan under Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3, according to security sources.
ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN — WEB DESK: Security forces have killed 15 militants during multiple intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted across several districts of Balochistan, security sources said on Sunday.
The operations were carried out as part of Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3, according to the sources.
Operations conducted in eight districts
According to security sources, the intelligence-based operations were conducted in Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Nushki.
The sources identified the militants as members of Fitna al-Khawarij and described them as India-backed. These characterisations are based on Pakistani security sources and have not been independently verified.
The operations reportedly resulted in the recovery of a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition.
Security forces target militant networks
Security sources said the operations inflicted significant damage on militant networks operating in the province.
The latest action comes amid continued counterterrorism operations in Balochistan, where security forces have been conducting intelligence-led raids against suspected militant hideouts and networks.
The operations across multiple districts indicate an effort to disrupt militant activity through targeted intelligence-based action rather than a single large-scale operation.
Interior minister praises security forces
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for the operations and the reported elimination of 15 militants.
Naqvi said the forces had thwarted what he described as the designs of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij, while commending their operational capabilities.
The government has reiterated its commitment to eliminating militant networks from Balochistan.
Security situation remains under scrutiny
Balochistan has remained a major focus of Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts, with security agencies carrying out operations against armed groups in different parts of the province.
The latest operations are expected to be followed by further intelligence-based actions aimed at disrupting militant infrastructure and preventing attacks.
