Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Political tensions surged after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan reportedly rejected a political deal, prompting clarifications from Prime Minister’s Political Affairs Advisor Rana Sanaullah.
Sanaullah emphasized that Khan’s statement was context-specific, relating solely to the November 24 protest, and not any secret compromise or political settlement. Speaking on a private TV program, he clarified that Khan was unwilling to soften his stance on the protest at that time and appeared resistant to compromise.
The advisor also dismissed claims suggesting PTI leaders Raja Nasir Abbas and Mahmood Khan Achakzai were granted any authoritative roles, noting that while a meeting between Achakzai and the Prime Minister was proposed, it did not occur.
Sanaullah further stated that the government has already offered a Charter for Pakistan’s stability and remains open to dialogue to reduce political tensions. Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has also strongly denied any reports of a deal involving Imran Khan, reinforcing the government’s position.
The clarification aims to settle political speculation and reiterate the government’s willingness to engage in constructive dialogue.
