Raja Nasir Abbas Urges PML-N to Resolve Issues with Imran Khan

Date:

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Opposition leader in the Senate, Raja Nasir Abbas, called on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to resolve outstanding issues with former Prime Minister Imran Khan, assuring that his party would not allow the government to be toppled.

During a Senate session, Abbas criticized authorities for locking the Parliament House and detaining parliamentarians during peaceful protests over Imran Khan’s medical treatment. “Isn’t this an insult to Parliament?” he asked, emphasizing that constructive protest should be permitted.

He urged the formation of a joint parliamentary committee to ensure Khan, who has faced alleged fabricated charges and restrictions on family visits, receives proper medical care, including a pending injection. Abbas highlighted that during his imprisonment, Khan had read the Quran and its interpretations, reflecting his continued engagement with religious scholarship.

Abbas said, “Resolve your issues with Imran Khan. I promise that we will not allow the government to fall.” His remarks underline ongoing tensions over Khan’s treatment and the handling of political protests in Pakistan.
