Qatar Not Involved in Iran-US Mediation, Backs Pakistan Efforts

Date:

Doha, Qatar – Web Desk: Qatar has stated that it is not participating in ongoing mediation efforts between Iran and the United States, according to an official government spokesperson.

Speaking to media, the spokesperson said Qatar’s current focus remains on national defense priorities, which is why it is not directly involved in facilitating talks between the two rivals.

However, the spokesperson подчеркed that Doha fully supports Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region. “Pakistan’s efforts can contribute to peace and stability,” the official noted.

Despite not being formally part of mediation efforts, Qatar confirmed that communication channels between the concerned parties remain active.

Analysts say Qatar’s position reflects a cautious diplomatic stance amid rising geopolitical tensions, while still backing regional peace initiatives led by key stakeholders such as Pakistan.
