Punjab Assembly set to hold second sitting of 36th session today

LAHORE (Web desk) – The second sitting of the 36th session of the Punjab Assembly will be held today (Thursday), with the official agenda released ahead of the proceedings.

The session is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and will be presided over by Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan. According to the agenda, questions related to the Higher Education Department and the Schools Education Department will be taken up during the session, allowing lawmakers to seek clarifications and updates on ongoing departmental matters.

Five adjournment motions are also set to be discussed, focusing on issues of immediate public concern. In addition, the House will see the introduction of key legislative items, including the Provincial Motor Vehicle Ordinance 2025, the Suthra Punjab Authority Ordinance 2025, and amendments to the Police Order 2025.

The agenda further includes discussion on proposed amendments to the Agriculture, Food and Drug Authority laws. Members of the Assembly are expected to raise pressing public issues during the session, ensuring that the House addresses matters of urgent importance to the people of Punjab.
